Healthy Snacks for your Kids & What to Avoid

In my other posts I talk a ton about nutrition and the things to avoid, now I want to focus this post on what to buy for your kids, so listen up! In my other posts and in my nutrition packet I give to clients I talk about avoiding high fructose corn syrup and just any sugar/fructose period. Also about avoiding hydrogenated oils such as when the sunflower or cottenseed oils are hydrogenated during the food production. The sugar's bad, we don't need it in our system, it's a bad substance because it causes diabetes, weight gain and it doesn't give our body any nutritional benefit at all! Therefore, don't buy stupid gummy snacks or fruit snacks for your kids or Gogurt that's not healthy! Non of these things are natural, nor do they hold any nutritional value as other good products will such as live cultured yogurt with probiotics in them like acidophilus or bifidis. It's obvious that Gogurt & all artificial yogurts have brighter colors than natural yogurt, and artifica taste.

From our food we want it all to break down into glucose for our body, and for the brain, that's what it feeds off. You want your kids to have their vitamins, their fats, carbs., proteins, their dairy and their calcium, they also need roughly around 1,000 calories or a little more obviously, but you don't want them to have sugar! Going back to hydrogenated oils, this is when the companies hydrogenate and use extra hydrogen and things to fatten up the food, to enhance the fattening taste of it, & to make it last longer on the shelf just like other preservatives do! The kids don't need it! When buying Organic products make sure it has the Certified Organic symbol on it such as in these pictures. If it just says "Natural" or "100% Natural" it may not be true.

Other things to avoid are cereals like General Mills, that contain TSP (Trisodium  phosphate), which is PHOSPHORIC ACID, used in carbonated drinks like sodas, animal feed & fertilizers, etc.. It's a bad salt not found in nature. Anything artificial or man made or GMO'd isn't natural..

(Down below are example dairy and snack foods what you should buy and what to avoid. Go to your local health food stores if you can't find all these at a regular grocery store)

(BUY THESE)

Fruit snacks (Natural fruit snacks will be softer than artificial ones & have the real fruit juice taste!)

Fruit roll ups

And the brands go on! Avoid artificial snacks and anything with high fructose corn syrup! Also avoid cotton candy, snow cone with the artificial juices on them, anything sugary. Foods like cotton candy fool your body into thinking the calories disappeared or got digested already too. No nutrition value.
